A Mini Collection

I am currently fighting Amazon to get my book approved to publish (they didn’t like the cover—so rude!), so while I work on that, here’s a mini-collection of little poems.

I have a (self-confirmed) reputation for wordiness, but I feel like I’m always trying to find the simplest set of words that will stop someone in their tracks—the words that will make someone go, ohhh, I see it all differently now, or ohhh, you said the thing I didn't know I've always been trying to say. I like the challenge of short poems for that reason—honestly I like poetry in general for that reason. It forces me to hunt for just the right word and cut all the less-than-perfect ones where I might otherwise string together too many and obscure my own meaning.

While I wait to share some of my longer words, here are some short ones. Here’s to the day of small things. ;)
